CAA Shares Cal Alumni Mentorship Program
The Cal Alumni Association shared a year-end review of its program that aims to support the next generation of leaders, the Cal Alumni Mentors program. This effort is “to serve undergraduate students from first-generation, low-income, underrepresented, and underserved backgrounds.”
The Cal Alumni Mentors program addresses the inequities faced by today’s student cohort by providing students with opportunities to tap into the Cal alumni community at large. This program was developed specifically to meet student needs through the power of alumni volunteers.
CAA announces that more than 250 undergraduate students were matched with alumni mentors this year. Those alumni volunteers shared support and professional insights about their chosen career fields. Through this holistic year-long program, students learn tactical and practical skills to thrive at and after their time at Cal. A link was distributed to CAA members via email, included below for any end-of-year donations.
We need your financial support to grow and enhance our programs and develop new opportunities to effectively serve our community. Our programs must evolve and expand to reach and engage all segments of our diverse alumni body. By reinforcing our guiding values, we hope to demonstrate our continued commitment to alumni, students, and our unparalleled alma mater. - Cal Alumni Association
